Re: Youth Starter bows

You know, I build kids bows too and Mad Dogs bows are great, but there is some great advice from Bowdoc and the other Ebay suggester... YOu can pick up an old recurve bow off ebay...in the 25-35# range (maybe even a touch more) and have a great kids bow. Just look for a shorter, and lighter weight b...

Yeah Kirk...I think you should talk to Brian a little more... I know its a lot of work doing what you did there, but Brian blew you out of the water bro!!!

I was lucky enough to have a sasquatch at my house for a couple weeks... it was REAL nice to shoot... and real nice to look at!

Im just going to throw a few more pics into this thread and try to keep it entertaining... so... this is the view, right at dusk, about 4 years ago... we were sneaking in on this heard on the edge of some timber and we blew them out and up this hill... they then just stood, skylined watching to see ...

I would be VERY leary of ANY takedown that was supposed to draw 100# at 28 inches... The hardware/wood joint IS NOT designed to tak...

Re: Just a couple pics!

There's nothing to let you have man... you tell the truth... That bow pictured was a double carbon with foam cores and an ultra stiff riser with 1/2 inch of carbon reinforcement... I think its shot right at 191, the same as the A&H ACS... while Kirks fiberglass squatch fired them at 194! Pretty dang...

Re: Carbon arrows

hint...carbons can tend to be a bit stiff Amen to that. I have ONLY shot carbons, been in archery for a short 10 years now...and have never shot another type of arrow! For that bow, you want to go with a 500 shaft... Ok..I'm being a little hasty there. OF course, there are a few details I dont know...
