Thanks. I used a piece of an old blade from a sawmill. Extra thick L-6.

Elk Antler Hunting Knife

Here is one I made a little while back. I did filework down the backbone, and around the guard and buttplate. The sheath is rawhide over veggietan, and I added some deerbone with a wolf track scrimshaw.

Latest knives

Here are a few of my latest knives. Mostly made from old saw blades. Osage, curly walnut, curly cherry, purpleheart, and curly maple. http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp161/madcrow_2008/IMG00188.jpg http://i408.photobucket.com/albums/pp161/madcrow_2008/IMG00203-1.jpg http://i408.photobucket.com/al...

Re: KITH everone please read!

No need for that Tommy. I am still alive. Just been working 60 - 70 hours a day on the shipping dock. I haven't even had time to set down and check messages. Lances' knife will be in the mail today sometime. I just need to sharpen it and put a few layers of laquer on it. I am even throwing in someth...

John Cohea Knife

This is my second knife from John. They are truly a work of art. Rawhide sheath with vintage trade beads, dangles with horse hair and buckskin fringe. The blade is damascus and the handle is a deer leg bone that he took away from the dog. http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o281/maillemaker1/More%20K...

Patch knives

Here are a couple that I just finished. The top one is bloodwood with filework that goes all the way around the handle. The sheath is rawhide over veggietan and some copperhead skin. The second is maple with the same rawhide over veggietan with some blacksnake skin. Both blades are made from an old ...

Around here my best crappie fishing was done in the middle of winter. 18 degrees F and a little windy. The big boys seem to out more. Sorry, no pics. The biggest was just shy of 17 inches. It seems like we caught around 30 that day.
