duke traps?

i am interested in starting a small trapline behind my house, and was looking at duke traps. are they good quality, or at least good enough? im not going to do it for money so im not picky.

got out to shoot mine again today, and had fits trying to get the 777 to ingnite with any kind of speed in my flintlock. im going to try and find some black powder or a substitute that will work better...

longbow, i just wanted to correct an error: pyrodex and triple seven type powders are much LESS corrosive than black powder. thats the whole idea behind them, that and increased velocities.

the barrel is 32in but the website says it has a 1:48 twist, but it really has a 1:66 twist. i havent measured the overall length though.
im really busy right now so it may be awhile before i get more info on how it shoots, sorry to make you wait.

i just got out and shot her today. it worked splendidly. the only misfires were due to a mistake during loading(new to flintlocks). accuracy was good also. i was using .490 round balls and 3f triple seven with crushed 3f in the pan. didnt shoot much b/c it was so dang cold today, but was able to get...

great job and congrats on the fox! i saw a fox this weekend and was able to get within a few feet but it was at a refuge so i had to shoot him with my camera instead of my rifle. :D

im relatively new to bp, but i hunt with my recurve, my modern scoped rifle, and my 28 ga double gun, which i have killed many woodcock with.
didnt get a chance to hunt with my new flinter this season,it came after the season was done :cry: , but ill be ready when next season comes around...
