home made hand wrought hooks for fishing

for some time now i have been making some hooks out of spring steel. copying designs i've been able to find in books on fishing, in my own library. as i learned at grandpas knee how to tie my own flies with silk thread and small hooks (18 and 20 mustads) and have turned out a few doozies in the past few months. . i wonder if anyone else makes hooks the old fashioned way, how they learned and who they learned from.. :D
