Did a walkabout....

Post by Greywolf » Fri Aug 06, 2010 1:40 pm

at the ranch yesterday. There's nothing much happening there.
I did find a small rooted area in the middle of the Hau thicket but it look like a #60-#70 was just nosing around.
No tracks on the riding trail, back feeding areas shows nothing. Talk about disappeared !! I guess they went high in the mountains where it's wet. or more fruit. Even the fruit trees on the ranch are not producing fruit like the use to. There is some but not much. At the Pit feeder, there re lots of corn hulls which means the birds are eating the corn not hogs.

I did some scouting for a new place but with no activity it's no use. Take about a disappointed walk.
But then again the riders are happy and all giddy.. They love riding and not having to worry about horse-eating hogs

So I guess I might have to just build that bow I got material for in the mail.

See even Paradise has it's down side

Glad to hear you were able to get out and do some scouting.

Welcome to my world. One nice track across a trail and that's it. That was from one of my scout's. I'm in the process of moving and can't wait to get back in the woods.

Trav will be here in about four months, we'll try to pick up the slack during these trying times for us. :D
