Great build-along Marty. I like your hotbox idea. Simple & you can get it out of the way. I might have to do something similar. How many bows have you cranked out using those light fixtures? I'm just wondering if you've had (or will have) any trouble with the wiring inside the oven?

Bob, this is #31 with this set up. I have no reason to change right now. One day when I get my shop built out back, I'm thinking of having an oven built into a work bench.

I like it Marty! I need to make one that style. I'm only making a dozen bows a year or so, so it would be nice to get the box out of the way when not in use. I just don't have any extra floor space.....amazing how quick a 24x30 shop fills up

My next one will have some Ebony or Wenge in it. I like that black color in a bow. Beautiful bow Marty, thanks for taking the time for the build along.

Looks very nice, I am still in the process of starting my first one. I know my first one will be better because of watching all your steps I won't be afraid to add more color in my riser. Where is the best place to find all the wood for your projects, Thanks Shep

It depends on what kind of woods you want. I find myself buying more and more from Gilmer Woods, because I like seeing the piece before I buy it. They have a $100 minimum though. I've never received a bad piece from them.

Kenny McKenzie at Kenny's Custom Archery has a lot of stuff, has good pricing, and is a great guy to deal with. I buy glass, lams, glue, and the occasional piece of riser wood from him as well. He is top notch, and I recommend him as a first stop for all beginning bowyers. He can sell you anything you need.

There are other sources I use occassionally for more common stuff.

What a bow Apex!! Love the limb tips and string colors.
