Pedersoli hawken hunter

Post by gesthuntn » Mon Dec 02, 2019 6:50 pm

Just ordered me one of these to try. Been hunting with a inline for years and looking for more of a challenge. Going to go all traditional bow and gun. Except for ducks. Does any one here use one of these and how has it worked for you? I know the twist is for conicals and have some no excuse bullets to try. What powder charge would you suggest I start with?

first welcome to the forum .
each gun is different so you will have to work a load up for what you have . as for the fast twist . that's not a real issue even if you chose to shoot PRB . I have an original 40 that's a 1 in 36 twist and she shoots sub 2 inch groups at 150 all day long with PRB

Try this from the Pedersoli web site. The best advice is to take the gun to the range and find out what it likes. Only your gun knows what is the best load for it. Besides, think of all the fun you'll have finding out what the gun really likes.
