That's a very early model. Did it come with the box and papers ? Collectors look for those 3 digit serial numbered guns.

I got it super cheap because it had no box or paper work . It is going to be a shooter so who needs the box . Ruger made 8700 SS the 1st yr and the next yr 145 prefix was add to SS guns . 140 is blued model and made 2 yrs earlier and all were SN with the 140 unlike the SS .
