Question For You Bear History Buffs

Postby Aeronut » Sat May 24, 2014 6:00 pm

I became the proud owner of a Bear Tigercat in very good condition today. Bought it at a farm auction and the only flaw is the Bear medallion is missing. I want to find out, if possible, the year it was made so I can try to find a replacement medallion for it. I know the Tigercat was made from 1964 to 1978 and there are three different medallions during those years.

Specs:

KN19327
AMO-58"
45#

Thanks for any help you can give me,

Dennis

Thanks Hawk. That looks like a twin brother to mine.

Some info that I ran across says the K means it is 1970 or later and the N means it is 1970. That would mean it should have a nickel/silver medallion. The one in the ebay listing has the nickel/silver medallion on it.
