2017 Longbow Caribou

I killed this caribou last week in northern Quebec on the last day of our hunt with only 30 minutes left before we had to leave the bush. I guess I wanted to make sure I got my money's worth out of the hunt! I fried some backstrap up last night with some fried taters, gravy and buttermilk biscuits. Tasty stuff!

caribou is hard to beat! About the only meat I had which was better was butterfly steak from a Dall sheep when we stumbled into a guy's camp in the middle of the night. But that is another story entirely!

Congratulations on staying with it to get this one at the last hour of the hunt!
